Nordic Pilgrims is a film and series of handprints, following an unlikely group of Stoke City FC supporters based in Oslo, Norway.

On the 4th February 2023, I embarked on a sacred expedition from the holy land of Stoke-on-Trent to a faraway sanctuary situated in the heart of Oslo. I had heard stories of a great flag that billowed in the frigid winds outside of a temple adorned with banners, emblazoned with imagery and relics. A place where men and women, attired in crimson and ivory, gather each week to partake in the act of televangelism - a ceremonial form of worship in honour of an event taking place in the land from which I had journeyed, 1000km south. My journey was arduous, fraught with snow and ice, yet the sight that greeted me upon arrival filled me with a sense of awe comparable only to that which I had experienced as a boy when I first entered the magnificent Britannia Stadium. The majestic banner fluttered outside, and just beyond it, above the entranceway, stood the words ‘The Tordenskiold’.
